How to Choose a Certified Plastic Surgeon in Colombia

Board certification, hospital privileges and a documented track record are the three checks every international patient should run before booking a procedure.

Start with certification, not marketing

A polished website or a low price is not evidence of surgical safety. In Colombia, look for active certification with the Tribunal de Ética Médica, a specific board certification in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and hospital or clinic privileges at a licensed facility. These three facts are verifiable and should be shared before any consultation moves forward.

Three questions before you book

  • Is the surgeon board-certified in plastic surgery, and can that credential be verified independently?
  • Does the surgeon operate in a licensed, accredited operating room — not a converted office space?
  • Is there a documented post-operative follow-up process, including who to contact for a complication after you return home?

Where the Verified Surgeon Protocol fits

Elevate Beauty does not perform surgery. We coordinate travel, lodging and logistics around independent, licensed surgeons who clear our three-layer Verified Surgeon Protocol: active credentials, operating-room licensing, and a documented follow-up record. The clinical decision always remains between the patient and the surgeon.
